Hey Flatty Fatty’s I am wondering who is responsible for the maintaining of the dirt jumps at the Armory? I know that the season is pretty much over but now would be a great time to dial them in, so they freeze up nice and are bomber next spring. Also wondering if the jump lines can be manipulated? there is so much potential there, and so much talent in the valley that would really get into the scene if we made them more challenging.

It seems to me that the difficult part is over (city Approval, initial build, etc…) so now lets make em really sick. Something similar to the Post Office Jumps in Aptos, CA?? Is there some sort of funding for this? I would be willing to organize some sort of a fund raiser or try to get a bobcat donated for a couple of days. Really curious, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Brittan Ellingson

    Hey Brittan,

Thanks for the visionary thoughts on the dirt jumps. And… apologies for the shockingly slow response. Good timing though, because the city is tentatively ready to give us the go ahead on a rebuild this spring. Jake of May Lawn Care has drawn up some sweet plans which include progressive stunts and a pump track. The jumps will also get a rebuild. It would be nice to make the lines more usable, challenging, etc. We’ve got the equipment lined up and will publicize the dates of the actual rebuild so everybody that’s psyched can be involved. We’re meeting every 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Whitefish library at 6:30 pm, so come on by.

    Thanks for the support, Pete
